I have a third party bluetooth keyboard that refuses to pair with my Macbook Pro retina (mid 2012).
When I come to the prompt where I have to type in 8 numbers to confirm pairing, it doesn't register any input from the keyboard and after a while it just says that the pairing failed.
I can pair the keyboard just fine without a hitch with my iPhone and iPad.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
Are you aware of the fact that a BT device can only be connected to one thing at a time?
I use third-party BT devices myself, but I have not had problems.
I suggest you contact the manufacturer for help.

Yeah, I am.
I tried pairing it with my macbook first, but when that didn't work, I tried to paired it with my other devices which worked fine. It's currently not paired to anything.
The manufacturer is korean and they don't have an English website.
I guess it's a lost cause.
