How do I get rid of the lock circle icon next to battery life

IOS7: Screen Orientation (Rotate)

Swipe UP from the bottom edge of the screen to see the Control Center, tap the top left right icon next to the Crescent to lock/unlock screen orientation.

🙂 This had me worried too,...i fell asleep with my phone in hand,..as ya do,..lol,..and woke up this was on,.along with the half moon icon,...ive only just bought the phone too,..so i feared the worst,..thank you,..🙂

YOu can see lock icon with round circle you can just click on it to disable & also moon icon if someone want to disable it
