How to block unwanted emails in yahoo on my ipad without access to a computer?

You can block email on yahoo from safari on your iPad (and presumably on your iPhone, too)!

First, log in to your yahoo mail in safari.

Once it loads, press and hold the refresh symbol at the far end of safari's address bar. You will be given the option "request desktop site", tap it!

Next, copy the email address you'd like to block.

Then, at the top right of the screen, next to your profile name, is a gear icon. Tap it and select "settings". (You may have to press and hold the settings link until you're given the option to select "open".

Now your yahoo mail settings are open as an embedded pop-up. On the menu on the left select "blocked addresses". Paste (or type) the email address you wish to block, and tap block.

Brilliant piece of info! Worked perfectly, just not sure if I have to repeat process each time. Even, it is worth it to reduce the amount of spam getting through to both junk and inbox.

No, if you do it on the website they should be routed to the servers junk mail folder, not on your device. Check on the Yahoo site and see if they have filters that will allow you to block email addresses.

I've never found a way to do that and I've been using Yahoo for around 14 years. They can only be marked as spam as far as I can see. Blocking email addresses doesn't do much good, anyway. They just use a different one the next time to get around this.
