How do I get leave a group chat in iMessage

Group chat in iMessage? There is no such thing.

Maybe you're using some other app like Facebook ...

There is such a group thing @sberman. And I wish I knew how also

In my mind, this is very different than group chat.

It is not possible to remove yourself from a group message.

To add or remove recipients, you must create a new group message conversation.

apple really need to sort this , my battery life is now plummeting through the hundreds of messages i am receiving on a daly basis and it is also using my data allowances to receive these messages !

the fact that if i switch my imessage off and any of my friends who have their imessage enabled will not be able to text me without it trying to send as imessage first which brings up a warning which can be easily missed or not seen if you click send and lock your phone straight after !
