Why don't my playlists update when I edit them, help!

I've had iTunes Match for a few months now and I've always been having issues with my music not updating and syncing to my Mac from my PC, my playlists don't update some times I loose my playlists on my Mac when I update, edit or addn new songs to them on my PC. Why is this happening and how can I fitx this?
