My scanner in particular is useless since the latest update, what can I do?

I have an Epson SX445W is a wifi scanner/printer, and since I updated the system the scanner is not recognised and therefore ultimately useless. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to buy a new printer/scanner, but need this capability. And if I do, how do I know my Mac will accept it anyway? I appreciate your assistance, anyone.

Hi Klaus1,

Thanks for this.

I have already been on the Epson website, and they do not have anything that supports it.

I have emailed them, just in case, and so awaiting a reply.

The list on the apple website does not include my printer, although the Airprint thing says that my is compatiable. Not sure if this is worth it.

Anyway, I appreciate your help. I just wonder why the printer still works, via the wifi connection, but the scanner doesn't.

In the Applications section, the scanner has a big circle with a line through it, and when you click on it, it says you can't use the Epson scanner with this version of OS X.

Looks like another printer.
