Q: Randomly been charged for apps.

I was looking at the top charts, in the free section, and I saw that both iPhoto and iMovie were there. Normally, they were £2.99 each. So I downloaded both. For 3 days, it was fine, and my balance was unchanged. Then, today, I saw that my balance had gone down by £5.98! So Apple had charged me for apps that were free. Does anyone know how I can contact Apple to rectify this mistake, and is it just me that this has happened to? I really need help!

Did they have 'free' against them in the chart instead of their normal price ? For iOS 7 compatibe devices activated after September 1st those apps will be free (so will show in the top-free chart), but if your iPad was activated before 1st September then you will have been charged their normal price.

Free apps for iOS 7 compatible devices : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5913

You can try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support, but unless you meet the above then you have been correctly charged for them : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
