Cannot sync contacts to iMac from iPhone?

My wife's iphone 5s was diagnosed with a software bug that causes her battery to drain. The Apple Store told her to back up, erase and set up as new. Back up is fine. The problem is she cannot sync her contacts to our imac. Only my contacts from my iphone show up on the imac. Another problem is neither iphone when connected to iTunes shows the "info" tab on the itunes menu bar. It seems like you need that "tab" to get contacts synced.

Can you sync contacts from more than one iphone to the iMac?

Why won't the "info" tab show for either iphone? It seems like I have no ability to sync my contacts either even though I see them all in iMac Contacts?

Thx in advance if you can help.

TY Petermac (I am michaelmac). We do have 10.9 Mavericks. I do have icloud and see my contacts there but again only my contacts show up. Can I set up something for my wife? How do I sync her contacts in there? It still does not show me anywhere on the iphone on how to do it.

I am still perplexed why my iphone does not show "info" to allow me to synce what I want.

An iCloud account is pretty much a per-person thing.

You should set up your Wife with both an iCloud account, and an account on your Mac.

She can set up her stuff the way she wants and will be able to just sync her stuff to her phone.

You still can put apps from your AppleID on her phone, you just need to log in with your AppleID in her iTunes and install those apps. You can have up to five devices tied to any given AppleID.

Whenever those apps need to be updated, you will have to log into iTunes with your AppleID.

Thx Barney. I can now see this is the way to fix this. May be tricky at first w 2 user accts and IDs but I for now I was able to get contacts synced and do the reset. Thx everyone.

There may be some growing pains at first, but it sure makes things simpler in the long run. You can organize all of your stuff independent of your Wife. You can't share contacts, but you can share a Calendar. Contact data is very small, so having duplicates isn't that big of a hit.
