Q: Where is the iPhoto library on OS X mavericks??

I have recently upgraded my Mac to OS X Mavericks and I can't seem to find the iPhoto library! Can someone help me find it!

    where ever it was before - by default in the pictures folder in your account

    I recently recovered my Mac so I saved everything onto a hard drive. Then I did the recovery and uploaded OS X mavericks. I have tried to searched for the iPhoto library and Pictures folder but they don't exist anywhere! I have all my pictures saved on my hard drive but I would like to put them back on my Mac in iphoto library. I saw that there is an iPhoto app that I could purchase but I don't think I should have to pay for an app that I had before the update!

    Remember we can't see your machine, much less read your mind. If you saved "everything to a hard drive" then that's where it is. We have no way of knowing what you saved or didn't, we only have what you tell us. THen you tell us that you have all your pictures on your hard drive. BUt I thought you couldn't ind your Pictures folder? And I don't know what hard drive you're referring to? As for paying for the app - what has that to do with finding the Library?

    Then that is where everything is - everything should include your iPhoto library

     

    I have all my pictures saved on my hard drive but I would like to put them back on my Mac in iphoto library

    Then if you do not have a backjup of yhour iPhoto library then you will need to start over importing these photos into a new iPhoto librbary

    If you had iPhoto '11 before the upgrade you do not need to pay for it - you reinstall it - if you did not have iPhoto '11 then you must pruchae iPhoto '11
