Windows in front

I amrunning Mavericks 10.9.1, Safarii 7. My wife works on a site that requires Java which I have installed and it works just fine wxcepy when whe clicks on a button. When she clicks on this buttton iti opens but opens a new window but behind the main window and it is very confusing to say the least (for her). Is ther as way to have this window open in front of the main window without going to Mission Control and bringing it to the front?
