Q: Unlocking of the iPhone 4s in iTunes
Hi,
My iPhone 4s, has been replaced in an apple store as the previous one that I have been given by my provider has been faulty. After my contract ended, I was told by my provider that I need to unlock the iPhone in iTunes as they (after the exchange) can not unlock it themselves?
I have backed up and restored the iPhone, is there anything else that I need to do?

Even if your contract is up, the carrier the phone was locked to has to authorize the unlock. iTunes will be involved at some point but the carrier has to initiate the unlock, call them back.
