Q: Turned my iphone off today and now I cannot get it back on. No SimCard message have even tried restoring to factory settings now I can't get past the activation, Won't activate, Iphone 4 using ios 7.4 - I wish I had never updated my phone a while back

I turned my iphone off today and now I cannot get it to work again. It came back on with a No connection for the phone but the internet was fine. I tried to restore through itunes and now I cannot even get passed activation. I get "No Sim" going through itunes and through WiFi I get that the activiation server is temporarily unavailable.

I'm not sure what I can do next, this is frustrating me, I never had problems with my phone until I updated a couple of months ago.
