Postcast unavailable in ios 6.1.5?

I could download postcasts in itunes until I updated to ios 6.1.5. Now it says that I must install the podcast app. But when I try to do this, it says that it needs ios 7. But settings tells the that ios 6.1.5 is up to date.

The main use of my ipod is listening to podcasts. Did I lose this capability when I updated the ios?
