My find my phone is not working because I have a new number- same ID

I have a new number for my iPhone 5S, my icloud ID is still the same. My new phone can see my old phone, however, my comp can't see my new phone. I believe this because I have a new phone number. Everything else is working. My new phone is set to itunes, and can is downloading to icloud, and can use Itunes match. However, the find my iphone app is not acknowledging the new phone number. Also I am wonder if I can change the account to my name instead of my ex's name.
