iphone5 wont back up to icloud

Hi, I have brought the max amount of storage on icloud, but my phone wont backup, I have tried all the suggestions on here, deleting my account and previous backups etc, it says it will take 2 hours but 7 hours later (overnight) it then says it will take 5 hours and just never backs up! So far I have no back up, can anyone help?
