Why is some of my OS type dropped lower than usual?

I've had this problem for a while now and have just been ignoring it, but I'd like to know why this is happening and how I can fix it. It's pretty much just in iTunes and a few other programs where the type is dropped a few pixels from where it should be sitting. I've attached some screenshots so you can see what I mean.
