MacBook Pro 2012 model will not go to sleep properly (OSX 10.9.1)

HI, I have upgraded my OSX 10.9 to 10.9.1

Everything works well on my 13 inches 2012 non retina MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz i7 16GB ram (with internal Samsung Evo 1TB ssd).

However I have noticed that once I reach the 2 percent battery level, if i close the cover of the laptop, once I re-charge it, the external battery led will NOT flicker (it will be just dark). Once I charge the mac for few minutes and open the lid again, it will still be totally dark and no flickering on the battery led. Once I press the power bottom, Mac will just start-up.... So it will NOT resume from a hybernation mode. How come????

Attached a screen shoot of the problem (i guess), from the consol application.

In terms of settings I have set the Mac for no energy saving at all (as I use an SSD disk).

Any clue???

Andrea
