How do I connect bluray to iphone 5 personal hotspot to access internet/netflix on TV?

Hi everyone,

I don't have home broadband as I can only get 1mbps where I live. Therefore I tether my PC/iPad mini etc to my Iphone 5 using personal hotspot to make a wireless network. I bought a sony bluray player today, and while it connects to the wifi network, it says internet connection failed. Does anyone know how I can get it to connect to the internet to be able to access internet/netflix etc through my tv?
