I purchased a JBL Flip speaker and connected to my Apple iPad and it worked fine. By accident I pushed "Forget this device" and lost the device on my Bluetooth page. I have tried everything to try and get it back but it will not connect. Any ideas??

Try resetting Network Settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to join your WiFi networks again.

Pair it Again like you did the first time. If you go to Bluetooth settings, and wait for the list of devices to populate it should show up there. You may need to set the device to Pairing mode or discoverable mode according to its pairing instructions.
The problem is that the bluetooth device does not show up in the bluetooth list (ie it does not populate). Both devices are in discoverable/pairing mode, but the iPhone no longer recognizes that my jawbone exists, period.
Try resetting the iPad. Hold down the Home and p[ower/sleep buttons until the Apple logo shows up.
You might also want to reset network settings to clear all data from the BT pairings. Sometimes that helps.
Settings->General-:>Reset->Reset Network Settings.
Finally figured it out. Some devices have two pairing modes for connecting a device for the first time- an automatic pairing mode and a manual one. The automatic pairing mode wasn't working (in my case, this entailed pressing a talk button), but the manual one did (in my case, holding down the talk button while turning the device on.
