my 5s will only vibrate, it won't ring

I have had no vibe on my phone for over a week, have missed all kinds of calls. I went to general settings chose accessibility and went to vibration and turned it on fixed my phone. Don't really know how this settings got turned off due to I never use the accessibility settings. Hope the information helps someone with this problem. Thanks for your time.

do you have a ringtone set? and make sure you check the silent switch again.

you might have a hardware issue, do any sounds work at all, or will it just not ring? if it just isn't ringing, then you would need to backup your phone and then restore it as new and test the issue.

reset all settings

settings-general-reset-reset all settings

now reconnect to wifi

settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join

if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

This was a solution I found, just above the volume buttons, there is a thin slide bar. If its moved to the left an orange line will appear this sets the phone to "Silent", move back over to the right should help. Good luck.

Is Do Not Disturb turned on by any chance? Look for a quarter moon icon in the status bar up top.

This worked for me, i.e., manipulating the slider just above the physical volume buttons on the left outside of the iPhone 4. Thank you!

   is off ? (little moon top corner)
2. In

   Settings / Sounds / Vibrate on Ring

   is off and

   Vibrate on Silent

   is off
3. In Settings / Sounds / Your sound is set to low
4. The switch on the ledt side is red.
