Boot Camp Assistant. You'll find it in the Utilities folder in Applications.

Are you still using Snow Leopard 10.6.5?
The Boot Camp Assistant in my iMac with Mavericks says I cannot install it. Upon investigation, I find that I need Boot Camp 3, but I cannot find a download of it anywhere.
Boot Camp 3 installed with 10.6. So if you still have 10.6 as it states in your first post then you should stll have it.
I have Mavericks on my iMac now. I have older versions of OSX. Don't know if I have 10.6 on disc. I think it might have been a download.
10.6 did not come as a download, it was on disc only.
ok well I probably have that disc then, but how would I get it off that disc and where would I install it?
That's an excellent question, almost as good as 'will it run on mavericks'
I guess you will be telling us when you find out as I think the answer is no.
I just requested that the Host move your thread over to the Boot Camp forum.
Hopefully after they do that maybe someone over there might see it and help you. Your question has gone far beyound my knowledge of Boot Camp.

You would have to install it to the internal drive and you would also have to remove Mavericks. That is the only way to run a version of OS X that supports installing Windows XP using boot camp.
okay, but that's something I don't want to do. I appreciate the information.
Then install it in a VM.
I wonder if you could run multiple versions of OSX under different partitions?
Yes. I have three partition at the current time with three different versions of OS X.

So all I'd need do is find my Snow Leopard disk and install it into a new partition and then I could use Bootcamp 3 from it to install Windows XP, then delete the Snow Leopard partition? Leaving me with a Mavericks partition and a Windows XP partition?
