Q: My new iPad 4 does not have the emoji keyboard included in the international list of keyboards

My new iPad4 with ios7 does NOT have the emoji keyboard listed in the international keyboards list. I've read all the instructions as to install the additional keyboard but it simply is not there. How do I add the emoji keyboard to the list of keyboards so that I can then add it?

Hey reneegrannys,

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you are doing everything correctly. To double check, follow these steps:

iOS: Using emoji
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4976

To enable emoji from the keyboard settings in iOS:

1. Tap Settings > General > Keyboard.
2. Tap Keyboards.
3. Tap Add New Keyboard.
4. Locate and tap Emoji.

If you continue to have issues, let’s restore your iPad using iTunes:
