iMac stopped automatic import of my photo stream. help!

I have a new iMac. iPhoto was doing a fine job of automatically importing photos from my photo stream, but suddenly it stopped! Annoying!

in iPhoto preferences: My Photo stream and Automatic Import are checked'

in iPhoto: my photo stream is up to date, but the photos do not import to My Library.

Any ideas on how to fix?
