Q: ik im not too computer savy- i opened a icloud account and named my ipad the icloud address - so i cant change the name of the icloud account - if i delete the account will it let me set up a new account with that email address that i need it to be

Hi Deborafromnm,

The iCloud account you created, which is an email address, is correct.  All of your activity - contacts, calendars, purchases, etc. is tied to that email address.

The only reason you name your device is so that you can easily recognize it when you do backups, etc.   (Really helpful if you have more than one device.)

Go to Settings > General > About > Name.
