my iPhone watching me?

Hi,

I just read article that american goverment can install remotely backdoor to any iPhone so some people (U.S. goverment employes and rest) can read my SMS, watch my photos, see where I am and even listen or watching in real time through my iPhone?!

please, can someone from Apple give official statement about this!

I just want to know if this is true. If it is true, I will use my device differently.

It is not as simple, or irellevant, as you would like to represent it.

- Why we all can not see what Mr. Keith B. Alexander do in free time?

- When and where his children going to school...?

- or to see if he has a lover?

if "he" does not trust me, why should I trust "him"?

bottom line is that Apple should make a statemnt regarding this "minnor" issue.

we should at least know what is the true.

I sent email to Tim Cook.

It is quite impressive that you people agree that this is normal.

I would say that you are quite shallow regarding implication of this.

They've clearly demonstrated their willingness to lie, to exaggerate, and to violate our privacy. The NSA isn't doing this because "terrorists" use iPhones. They're doing this because senators, congressmen, and judges use iPhones. They're doing this so when it's time to prosecute them for violating the peoples' rights, they can blackmail and extort.

Seriously. The NSA has become a FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) breeding ground in which computer knowledge flies out the window.

Important things to know:

1. NOTHING can be downloaded on your iPhone without physical access to the device or the credentials to your Apple ID.

2. Assuming you don't "jailbreak" the phone, ONLY apps from Apple's App Store can be installed. This means that Apple approves every single app you put on your device, and you can delete these apps instantly.

Note that if you have a phone owned by an institution, things are slightly different. Your IT department might be able to download apps onto your device remotely, but the likelihood that they'd be able to download anything malicious is VERY small. They'd still only be able to install Apple-approved apps, since jailbreaking is illegal.

So, long story short, all of this crap about NSA remote surveillance is just that - crap.

But if you want to wear a tinfoil hat, please take a picture so I can see it 🙂
