I am really considering purchasing my first mac, a stock white 2.0 GHz macbook (going to upgrade the ram sometime after prices drop) and I am woundering if Counterstrike and Counterstrike Source works on it. It doesn't have to be perfect but just aslong as it gets by with decent/ok graphics.
Anything would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Appleyard

Hi AppleYard, CS 1.6 will work fine on your macbook under BootCamp or Parallels, but you might have some trouble running CS:Source because your FPS might be in the range of 15-35 and this also depends on the map you are playing. Hope this helps. I still rely on my Gaming PC when it comes to Source.
If you are in game...hit "~" key top left of your keyboard which brings up the console (thats if you enabled the console already under options>Key Settings>Advanced), and then in console type "netgraph 3" or "show_fps", im not sure if i spelled the commands correctly but it will show up once you type the first 2 letters and just chose the correct command. (All of this is done in-game while you are playing CS on a server or your own server).
Hi again AppleYard, I would suggest you install windows on one of the partitions in your mac via parallels or the FREE! BootCamp before you attempt to execute CS 1.6. Hope this helps.
