The Final Cut Pro X Supplemental Content 1.0 continually asks to be re-updated! Cause or solution?

I have been using Final Cut Pro X since it was released. Recently, after I updated to Mavericks, the App Store Update page reports that it needs to update Final Cut Pro X Supplemental Content 1.0. So, I click "update," it updates it successfully, Final Cut Pro X Supplemental Content (Version 1.0) shows up under updated ran in the plast 30 days. But then, it continues to ask me to to run the update by putting it on the list of needd updates. Any known causes of this issue or solutions? Thanks!

Have the same problem with Final Cut Pro X update notice in App Store.... Using Mavericks as well.... I don't think it has any effect on the program, but it is quite annoying to see that red "1" on the App Store icon... Hope we get a solution. Thanks.

Yes, it's a common problem.

The only solution is to install the update once and the next time the update shows up again, Ctrl + Click on the update and select Hide Update.

Now reload the App Store (Cmd + R) and the update is gone!

Finally I found the solution for this!!

- Open terminal

- Type: sudo softwareupdate --ignore "FCPContent"

- Type your password followed by enter.

- Done.

So easy. 😁
