osx 10.9 Logitech c920 webcam

Our Logitech webcam no longer works properly with Mavericks upgrade. The sound is off, and when recording a video movie with QuickTime player, the video lags then freezes after a few seconds. If you let the recording continue more than 10 seconds, the only Way to quit QuickTime is reboot the computer.

I'm having a similar problem.

The c920 works on my 2011 Mac Mini,

running OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks,

on QuickTime, Photo Booth, FaceTime & Google Hangouts

but only in 720p and the quality looks like 480p.

I purchased WebCam Settings from the App Store

which improved the color & sharpness a little

but it has no resolution settings;

so still no 1080p.

Sound also works,

before & after WebCam Settings

Question: Is it recording in 1080p for you?
Suggestion: Look up Resetting the VRAM by rebooting and holding Command + R + P. I'm probably remembered it wrong, so please look it up before trying it.
