I'm having the same trouble with my 30gb ipod, and yes, I'm using itunes. Plugged in my ipod this morning to make a new playlist, and instead of uploading the playlist to the ipod, the ipod was blanked out. Reset, restored, and update software to ipod. For over an hour it appeared that the music was uploading to ipod (i.e., ipod icon was flashing red in itunes source column, and updating ipod Do Not Disconnect and copying __ of __ tracks was showing in the window on top), however when I got the update is complete message and ejected my ipod, there was nothing on it. Can anybody help? This is a new ipod and I'd hate to think that I have to send it in for service this soon.
