connecting 5.1 surround sound speakers

i have a macbook pro with retina (late 2012) and im looking to plug my logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers to it, can i use the headphone jack to do this, i need the green, black and orange input to the speaker for 5.1, is this even possible from the headphone jack? or will i have to use a usb type connection?
