Hi,
I've noticed on occasion that when trying to unlock my iPhone 5S using touch ID it won't even register my finger on the sensor. No try again error or anything. I have to lock the phone and wake it back up for it to work. I am not wearing any gloves or anything.
It has only happened twice in a 1 month period.
Thoughts? Has this happened to you?

Did you clean with a soft cloth?
No I simply locked the phone. When I unlocked straight after it worked fine.
You should try sometime cleaning.
I seem to have misunderstood your question. I clean the sensor at least once per day as well as the screen. I did not clean it just before it stopped working once.
I have a feeling this is a software glitch as relocking the device solved the issue.

That article is not relevant. The touch sensor is not the problem. If it was dirty it would simply say "try again" as it would not be able to read my print. The problem I faced was it didn't even try. It was as if I didn't place my finger on the sensor at all which to me says the detection ring did not detect my finger.

Yeah I gave the article a read. As stated I have only had this pop up twice so it's no big deal I was simply wanting to see if others have had the issue.
