I have downloaded a movie in HD to my iPad and it won't play. It starts but locks on one frame within the movie and the time continues to count down. Any suggestions?

I have downloaded a HD movie from iTunes TO MY IPAD and it won't play. It starts and the image freezes and the movie clock/timer continues as thought the movie is playing. Suggestions?
