May I update my iPhone 5's frimware on Mac that logged into different Apple ID?

Have all 5 slots activated. Can't deactivate because I don't have access to those macs now. Need to Update, Don't have WiFi to update. iTunes is ony solution for me right now. Question: Do I need to have same Apple ID on Mac mini and iPhone to make backup and update frimware
