Q: My Mac book pro display won't turn on

1. Restart.

2. Press F2 key couple of times

3. Reset PRAM.  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405

4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

    Choose the method for:

   "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".

If this does not help, contact Apple.

had the same problem, pressed f2 and now ok.  Do I have to do the other steps if it now appears to be working?
