Is the computer in question, an iMac with wireless keyboard?

Or is it a macbook/pro as noted in the bottom of your post?

If you have a USB keyboard that may be helpful in trouble-

shooting the reason or cause behind a bluetooth issue. Or

if the problem in a portable is the integrated keyboard.

If the computer is a MacBook/Pro and you have no wired key

board, can you use the MB/Pro built-in keyboard well enough

to attemp a Safeboot startup? This uses the Shift key held

down on start, until you get a login screen. Then it may be

possible to continue with troubleshooting methods, such as

an SMC reset if the issue may be software vs hardware failure.

If your computer in question is a Late 2013 MacBook Pro (retina 13")

there is a known issue that affects a few models and there is an EFI

update available for those with this issue, from app store updates.

However from reading through a few sites and pages of similar issues

in an inability to keyboard (or use trackpad) in a MacBook Pro, this

may be a matter of a qualified technician, an Apple product specialist

and it may cost some money if connections are bad, or the board bad.

But if the computer is an iMac as the thread title states & not the

computer listed in your personal info in your post, you could try a

reset the SMC system management controller; but read about it first.

Test and check what you can before an SMC reset, in troubleshooting.

Exactly what computer model, build year, and OS X is that?

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
