Q: Bought new i4s for wife. Cannot close apps by holding finger on app until it shakes (it doesn't shake) How do I close an app? It works on my own i4s but not wifes.

I have an i4s and can close an app by holding finger on icon for open app until it vibrates, then remove by touching delete symbol. Ibought my wife an i4s however am unable to close an app by using this function. How can we do this now?

Double tap the Home button, then swipe upwards on the App Preview (not the App Icon).

iOS 7 How to Close Apps

Double Tap the Home Button... Then swipe the App (not the icon) Upwards... Tap the Home Button when finished.

For IOS 7:
Double tap Home button, in multitask-list, swipe UP the app snapshot to close the app. Tap Home button again when finished.
