My apple id and password work on my mac but not on my iPad, when entering password I get cannot connect to iTunes store. did try resetting new password still not working

My Apple id and password work fine on my mac, but not my ipad.

When trying to down load itunes or apps it will not accept my password

says cannot connect to itunes store. Resetting password did not help

iPad 2, iOS 7.0.4

1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software


2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On


3. Make sure Time Zone is correct


4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.
