No but it voids your warranty. Only few devices can be downgraded assuming you have the right tools and saved your shs blobs for previous iOS versions.

I see you have iphone 4 and you probably hate 7 so you want to go back. Unless you saved your blobs there is no way. But i havent tested whether downgrading a 4 is possible.

I can only recommend sending feedback to Apple and ask for them to leave the ios 6.1.3 window open for older devices like iphone 4 and ipad 2.

No, but it voids the warranty on your phone and you won't be able to do it anyway because you will get error messages if you try - Apple stops signing the old software so the phone does not recognise it and sees it as an error, so you just can't downgrade.

Why doesn't apple let you downgrade if you dislike iOS 7 or 6?

How would anyone in this user to user forum know the answer to that question?

Because the people at Apple can do whatever they want.

Because downgrading can cause many, many technical problems, such as the inability to restore a backup to your device (thereby causing you to lose all your data), or having Apps malfunction because of an incompatibility, including data loss.

Thank You. I like iOS 7 but it just doesn't run great on my iPod touch.
