Q: Lorex LNC 116 Surveillance Camera - help to view videos.

I installed an  IP Lorex LCN116 on my Lion OS of Mac Pro desktop.

1.  It shows it has videos in a folder but I haven't found ANY program yet to open and show them.

They read like this when I dragged it over, but usually each is 6 numbers ending with .sdb

file://localhost/Users/pjdxxxwa/Library/Application%20Support/L-View/Recording/L @003171122-003171122/20140101/021032.sdb

2.  I haven't been successfull linking their Lorex PING  to syncronize my Galaxy 4 to the camera

for viewing when I am out. It is suppose to read a QR code it puts in my phone once I scan the camera, but it does not.

3.  I can't get iCloud to checkmark the Photo Streaming.  Is this a particular program or function?

Someone from my apartment complex has been (illegally) entering my apartment and I am trying to catch the person on film

or photo (which is legal in my state if the sound is off),  but I dont' know what I am doing wrong.

This has nothing to do with iPhoto for Mac. You need to seek assistance from the makers of the camera you have installed.

I HAVE phoned them. Message of being closed Dec, 26th but it was early on the 31st and they still claimed it was the day they were closed. I also put in a "ticket" with questions on the 30th. How can this brand be rated so high when they run from anyone with questions as simple as which program to use?

Who do YOU go to for support answers when the last three problems end with techs saying,  "This is not compatible with LION." ?

It appears that you assume I am an idiot, which I am not. No answer from them and I have a MAC.  IT could very well be MAC related.  Are there any experienced MAC PEOPLE here that know anything about IP Surveillanve Cameras and how they work?

How was I to know you had tried to contact these people if you didn't mention it? Nor did you mention that you've spoken to three techs. I'm going to try again: this forum is for people who have issues and need help with iPhoto for Mac. You don't have a problem with that. I've no idea why you assume that people who are experiened with IP Camera systems that produce unsupported file formats would be found here. I suggest that you try one of the more general forums. No I didn't think you are an idiot, though I might change my mind.

And I will "try again".   Since the some of the Lorex & iCoud literature and troubleshooting information online mentioned bits about needing certain versions of  iPhoto,  I was given the choice (on this forum) of choosing between  iPhoto and Aperture - which was not mentioned.

So, perhaps you can directing me to the IP Surveillance Camera forum for people with Macs? Or don't you realize that the newer models of things are changing so fast that they involve more than one program to run these days?

Your last remark shows who the real idiot may be, so I'd avise you to stop while your ahead.

Google is your friend, or Duck Duck Go or any internet search engine. I have changed my mind.
