Q: express 8 update
I have a registered working version of logic express 8. I downloaded the update and when I try to run it it says "An eligible Logic Express Version was not found in the Applications Folder. This Update requires Logic Express version 8.0"
I have a Macbook Pro running 10.6.8
Any suggestions?

Logic Express is inside a folder in your Applications folder? If so, there are a couple of things I would try.
First, try deleting the "8" on the folder name and run your updater again. If that didn't help, try removing the Logic Express application from its folder and place it by itself within the Applications folder. Run the updater. If neither works you can always just return things to the way they were and no harm done.
You don't say specifically, but do you currently have LE 8.0 (which is what the updater is looking for?) And are you trying to update to LE 8.02? Are you doing this via Software Update? As an alternative, you could always try downloading the update and installing manually:

(By the way, the reason why I asked to verify that your LE application was inside a Logic Express 8 folder is because that has changed, I'm guessing starting with Logic 9. There are no longer Logic folders with the application inside it . . . they have been replaced with "packages" and if you want to see anything inside you have to right-click on it. All you see in your Application folder now is a Logic application icon, which is actually a package.)
