keep getting redirected to AliExpress

on DeviantART.co when i search certain things all is fine until i scroll down a few pages and my tab redirects to here: http://www.aliexpress.com/premium/sex-toys.html?src=nb&af=nb_292732&tp1=73165419 &cn=%7Bsite%7D&isdl=y&alpsm=true

its a sale site and it links me to their sex toy section...

i've tried recreating the results with both my iphone and google chrome and it doesn't seem to do it there, even if i search the same thing. so i doubt it's an issue with the site. Also so far i've only noticed it with deviantART, no other sites. I've looked into it a bit and most mac sites tell me its very unlikely to be malware but i'd still like to ive it a shot here to see what some of you might say. Please help.

Quit Safari.

Hold the shift key down and relaunch Safari.

Reset Safari.

Launch Safari

Click Safari in the menu bar.

From the drop down select "Reset Safari".

Uncheck the box beside "Remove stored name and passwords"

Click "Reset".

Empty Caches

Safari > Preference > Advanced

Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

Turn off Extensions if any, and launch Safari.

Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Delete safari .plist file.

Quit all applications.

Hold Option key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

Select "Library" from the drop down.

Library > Preferences > com.apple.Safari.plist

Right click it and select "Move to Trash".

Restart.

As noted above, I am redirected to this sex toy site when going to www.corriere.it using Safari. Oddly, this doesn't happen every time I visit this site, but about half the time. It doesn't happen when using Firefox or using any web browser using a pc on the same network.

I followed all the steps suggested by dominc23. I also cleared the history and all cookies. I restarted the computer, and there was no change whatsoever. Still, Safari redirects sometimes from www.corriere.it to the sex toys page on Aliexpress.com. Very annoying.

I have experienced this on a 15" MacBook Pro Retina as well as a 27" iMac. Just clicking through links on TMZ.com on the MacBoo Pro and later clicking through a Chron.com slide show on my iMac when all of the sudden instead of the next slide, my browser took me to the opened the AliExpress.com sex toys for sale page. I hope someone figures out how to prevent this. Bizarre. And my wife is not going to believe I had nothing to do with it.

This started happening to me right after Christmas. I would be browsing sites like Instagram and Facebook, and the Ali Express sex shop would open up in a new tab. I tried the tips above but it's still happening.
Hopefully someone (Apple???) will figure out how to get rid of this. I'm using Safari on a MBP running Mavericks.

And BTW this is probably unrelated but around the same time the sex site started popping up my Battery performance is really bad. My Activity Monitor has Safari at over 50% when on battery power. When I use Safari my battery goes from 100% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
