Apple is very generic about its warranty not being valid for liquid contact. WHat is the design specs of waterproofing of macbook that it conforms to\?

Nothing. When you spill water into a MacBook, it will probably stop working automatically. Also, water damage voids the warranty because it is an accidental damage.

OK is it does not conform to waterproof standards, does Macbokk have any water resistant standards?

Nothing. Late 2009 and Mid 2010 MacBooks have got an unibody case, so it protects them from water at any part of the case except the keyboard and maybe the trackpad, and that's all.
