Q: can log into icloud but when i try to update it asks for old itunes id

i can log onto icloud through my NEW email address but when i try to update it asks for my old id which i no longer use (as have forgotten my password),

how can i reset my itunes id to represent my new Apple id ?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

settings > iTunes & App Stores > Sign out, sign back in with your current ID.
