im the proof. Not only did someone do it to me. They remotely installed spy app. Locked my sim, and changed my lockscreen passcode.

Only if your device has been jailbroken. You cannot install that type of software on a device. That hacking was probably done on your computer. The lockscreen passcode can only be changed from the device. I suggest your device was jailbroken, or someone you know jailbroke it when it was not in your possession.

How? please!!! My iphone was dropped and the display/digitizer cable must have come lose, so only half the screen is useable. Worse yet, I tether for internet access (yes, it is legal, yes, it is a service T-Mobile provides). But I had turned tethering off and now I cannot turn it on, as the button is on the non-responsive side of the screen. I ordered a T-2 but it will take some time to get here... In the meantime since the phone is out of warranty....

Now does anyone see the wisdom of being able to control our device from our computer?!!!

You can't. The poster who claimed it was possible back in May of 2015 was mistaken, or more accurately, full of it...

All they are doing is emulating an Airplay capable receiving device. That has absolutely nothing to do with this thread.
