Can we perhaps get an actual answer to this issue? "tech_genie" is completely incorrect: the question is about a popup that has dug itself into the registry, not a program that's installed in Finder.

Don't reply, tech_genie. Really. Misleading replies are much worse than silence. It's a popup. Finder isn't going to find it.

In my case, ZipCloud was unintentionally installed with a DivX update that came with a default checkbox — typical in the pushy strategy that DivX has.

So, I had to go to the Applications folder and delete the ZipCloud app. With AppCleaner smartdelete on, after I deleted the app six other files were deleted from my system too, related to ZipCloud.

Actually I also had to tweet several times @DIVXLLC so they would tell me how to prevent the update notification from appearing in the screen all the time, which wasn't as easy as navigating their preferences, I had to open the preferences app in a DivX folder.

Yes, very pushy these guys. In this world we still have companies like Facebook, Microsoft, Viggle, Perk, DivX, etc., that want you to do what they want...
