Q: My old iTunes Content was lost.

Hello, I have a lot of music and what have you that was lost when my last MacBook suffered water damage.  Needless to say I was able to get a new MacBook; however all of the music that I had on that one is lost, and it was a lot.  I need to know how I can have the apple company retrieve that since I do have all the reciepts on my account I can provide proof.  If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it, thanks.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

You haven't been keeping a backup copy of your downloads ? If not then you might be able to redownload some/all of your past purchases (what you can redownload will depend upon what country that you are in, and whether the items are still in your country's store) via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage :

    quick links.jpg

If not everything shows there then check to see if anything is hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

And if you still can't find everything, then for those items that are still in your country's store you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
