Hi Anav2014,

Many thanks for your question today.

When you backup any device to iTunes not iCloud, it is saved on iTunes.

If you go to your library - music for example and click the Alt button you will receive a menu.

Click on:

1. Edit

2. Preferences

3. Devices

This is where you will be able to see all of your backups and take action from there such as Syncing your backup to your device/s.

In this modern era, however it is better to consider syncing backups to iCloud.

Backup and Restore

You have all sorts of important stuff on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, like your photos and videos. iCloud automatically backs it up daily over Wi-Fi when your device is connected to a power source. You don’t have to do a thing. And when you set up a new iOS device or need to restore information on one you already have, iCloud Backup does the heavy lifting. Connect your device to Wi-Fi and enter your Apple ID and password. Your personal data — along with your purchased music, movies, TV shows, apps and books — will appear on your device, automatically.

Storage

When you sign up for iCloud, you automatically get 5GB of free storage. Your iCloud storage is used for iCloud Backup, app data and documents stored in iCloud, and iCloud Mail (iCloud.com email accounts). If you need more storage, you can easily purchase an upgrade from your device.

To create an iCloud Account follow the following information

1. Make Sure your device is running the latest version of iOS

If you’re setting up a new iOS device, or to update to the latest version of iOS, go to the Settings menu, tap General and tap Software Update to see if there’s an update available.

Learn more about iOS

2. Turn on iCloud

When you turn on a new iOS device or after you’ve completed the update to the latest version of iOS, follow the instructions in the setup assistant to activate your device and set up iCloud. If you skipped the setup process, tap the Settings icon on the Home screen, select iCloud, and then enter your Apple ID. Want to use a different Apple ID for iTunes? Learn more. With iCloud, you can get an iCloud.com email account that’s ad-free, is up to date everywhere you check it and includes webmail at iCloud.com. Just turn on Mail in iCloud settings and follow the onscreen instructions.

3. Enable automatic downloads

To enable automatic downloads for your music, apps and books, tap the Settings icon on the Home screen and select iTunes & App Store.

4. Turn on iCloud for the rest of your devices

To get the most out of iCloud, set it up everywhere.

Set up iCloud
on your Mac

Set up iCloud
on your PC

Many Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you about this backup!
