No. 5.1.1 is your limit on the original iPad.
To find out, launch Settings and go to General > Software Update. If iOS 7 appears, you're good to go. If not, chances are your iPad doesn't support it.
Then how can i download and install an application frm store because all the applications are supported on ios7 and above?
Since Danajenks cannot update the same model iPad beyond iOS 5.1.1, neither can you.
