Can't find Canon MX452 as AirPrint printer
I'm just got a new iPad Air w/ WiFi and a Canon MX452 printer/scanner/fax for my mother-in-law over the holidays. Now I have to set them up. This is my first foray into AirPrint as my own printer is not "AirPrint-compatible" so I haven't bothered trying it out at home. I've read through the AirPrint Basics, read some support articles on the Canon site and even watched some YouTube videos. But nothing I do seems to cause the printer to show up in the "Find Printer" dialog box. The big thing I'm wondering about is the network I'm connecting to. The M-I-L lives in a retirement facility that has a WAN covering the entire facility. So, that is the only network available to connect to. I've configured the Canon to connect to that network and it appears to do so successfully but, in looking at some of huge other Menu options on the LED of the printer, there are some selections about single or multiple access points, selection of MAC addresses, and leaving WPS active or inactive that I don't seem to see much guidance on in the Canon user's manual.
Any suggestions? Any idea if AirPrint works on this big of a network?
Thanks, Norm
