Final Cut Pro X Help in French and not English?

Have you come to any conclusion regarding this matter? I have the exact same problem, installed FCP X yesterday. First it was in English, then German, then Spanish and finally in French and now it's stuck there. :-/

You mean the rest of the application is English, and the Help/Aide menu is in French? Or the actual contents of the Help are in French?

Whichever way it is, this is a weird one.

Here are a few things you might try:

0) (Always a good one to try first) Delete preferences - start FCP X holding down command and option and confirm.

1) Quit the application, Switch the language in "Language & Region" to something else (preferrably a language that you can minimally understand :-)), and then back to English.

2) Try running the application from a different user account and see if the problem persists. If it does, you may use FCS Remover to completely wipe out FCP X from your system, and then redownload from the Purchases section of the App Store. If the application works correctly in a new user account, then some setting in your own account may have gone berserk.

Yes, the application is in English. Just the help viewer is in French and the contents of course. I only have Swedish, English and English (UK) activated in "Language & Region"-settings. I'll try the uninstall and reinstall, since I've tried the wiping of preference files several times. Thanks! 🙂

I suggest you try running as a different user first.

Like I said, if the problem is only in your account, it is unlikely that wiping and reinstalling will solve it.

Do you have any idea of where the help viewer files are located? What about deleting the other languages?

WWhat version of the software are you using?

I want to emphasize that there's no problem with the help viewer for other apps och mac os x, just the help viewer for FCP X.
